WHAT IS THE GED?

Test your knowledge.

The GED is an exam that tests a person's knowledge of high school level material in mathematics, science, social studies, and language arts. There are many meanings for the abbreviation GED, but the correct definition is the General Educational Development Test. This test consists of four separate exams that you can take in any order, or all at once, it’s up to you!

WHY SHOULD I EARN MY GED?

Secure your future.

The GED serves as a key that can unlock a better future for you and your family. Once you earn your GED, you can apply for better-paying jobs, advance in your career, apply to college, apply for scholarships, join the armed services, and set a positive example for those around you. The reasons why you should earn your GED are endless!

IS ONLINE FOR ME?

Increased flexibility to achieve your goals.

Although the GED is an achievable goal for everyone, it does require serious commitment. Our In-Person GED Program is the fastest way to earn your GED. Unfortunately, many students have challenges that prevent them from being able to attend in-person tutoring sessions. Our Online GED Program is perfect for those experiencing these challenges. However, the Online GED Program comes with challenges of its own. Students need to be willing to commit to completing assignments, following a schedule, and communicating regularly with the Online GED Coordinator. Our most successful Online Students are those who are self-motivated and ready to commit to earning their GED.

SOUTH BALDWIN LITERACY COUNCIL AND THE GED
