Executive Director - Mitchell Lee, LMSW

Mitchell Lee  joined the South Baldwin Literary Council as the Executive Director in September of 2019. He is originally from Atlanta Georgia, and he moved back to Baldwin County in June of 2019. Mitchell attended the now Coastal Alabama Community College in 2012. He transferred to the University of West Florida and received a bachelors degree in Psychology. Mitchell then graduated from Arizona State University with a masters degree is in Social Work with a specialization of Policy, Administration and Community Practice. His background in social services includes homelessness, case management, youth mentoring, research and program evaluation.  As Executive Director, Mitchell is responsible for the day to day operations of the organization, the fundraising and grant writing, managing the volunteer coordinators, and the GED and Adult Basic Education programs. 


Adult Language Coordinator - Allison Smith

Allison Smith has changed hats within the organization and is now our Adult Language Coordinator.  She coordinates and teaches the ESL classes as well as manages our youth program. Allison is originally from Philadelphia and has worked for a variety of nonprofits over the years. She has a passion for education and languages and combining them both as an ESL teacher is a dream come true.  She holds a degree in biology and a minor in Spanish which has opened doors for many cross-cultural experiences in medicine and education. Allison has lived in Peru, Uruguay and Central America and has traveled extensively. Her latest trip abroad was with a Rotary Vocational Training Team to Combarbala, Chile to assist local teachers in EFL curriculum development.  Allison lives in Summerdale with her husband and two daughters.


Adult Education Coordinator - Jennifer Felicelli, PhD

Jennifer Felicelli joined the South Baldwin Literacy Council as the Adult Education Coordinator in April of 2020. She is a native of Chicago, but has lived in Baldwin County since 2009. She has B.A. degrees in Psychology and French, an M.S. in Clinical Psychology and a PhD in Psychology. She has worked in many different fields, including Education, and worked with all age groups. She manages the Adult Basic Education and GED programs.


Youth Services Coordinator - Susan Bartholomew

Susan joined SBLC in November of 2020! More to come!
