Summer Reading Programs

Structured reading scheduled during students' summer break to assist in continued or improved reading skills. Special groups are held for children diagnosed with dyslexia or dyslexic tendencies and for children diagnosed on the autism spectrum, as well as children with additional special needs.

Step up to Pre K Readiness SUPR Program

South Baldwin Literacy Council has added the SUPR (Step up to Pre K Readiness) program for children who speak Spanish as their primary language and will be entering Foley for kindergarten in 2020. SBLC will provide on Monday's and Wednesday's  1.5 hour daily bilingual (English/Spanish) programming with the child and parent or caregiver. The parents or caregivers are a part of the program and can also engage in additional classes available such as ESL class.
