The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers free educational services. We are located in Foley Alabama, and are currently offering GED tutoring, ESL classes and a variety of educational services and programs for youth.
Programs and educational services offered
After School Youth Tutoring Program-1 on 1 and group tutoring after school for help with homework and or math and reading.
Learn to Earn - one on one instruction and
workshops on resume building, job interview skills, budgets, job searching assistance and coaching.
GED Preparation Program - GED Ready Assessments and individualized one on one tutoring.
English as a Second Language Classes - We
have 4 levels of ESL classes that range from Beginner to Advanced Conversation. Check out our Calendar for our class schedule.
U.S. Citizenship Preparation - Instruction provided for the United States Citizenship Exam.
TOFEL Preparation - Classes to prepare for the TOFEL English language ability of non-native English language speakers test.
Summer Reading Program - Each Summer SBLC offers a summer reading program for youth.
In School Youth Tutoring Program -South Baldwin Literacy Council tutors work with our local schools to provide in school support to students who need support in reading and math.
Adult Basic Education - Individualized tutoring
and workshops to help students reach their learning goals.
Drivers License Preparation - One on One or group instruction to take the written portion of the Alabama Drivers's license exam.
Computer Class - One on One or group instruction on computer literacy. Topics include emails, Microsoft word, power point and more!
