The South Baldwin Literacy Council understands that each student learns differently. We work with each student and his or her parent(s) to provide an individualized tutoring program for academic, as well as, personal success.
YOUTH SERVICES

Summer STEAM Wonder Workshop
The South Baldwin Literacy's STEAM Wonder Workshop turns every student into an engineer, scientist, and artist. Whether your child is just starting their building journey or is already a "Master Builder," they will dive into the world of STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Math) through Lego challenges that spark curiosity and critical thinking.
We are now registering for Summer STEAM Wonder Workshop: This workshop will be held throughout the summer at SBLC campus. The curriculum is provided by Lego Education and during each class students will build and operate different Lego creations. Each lesson will have a science, technology, engineering and literacy component.

After-School Tutoring
The South Baldwin Literacy Council supports youth literacy by providing free, after-school tutoring services to K-6 students. Currently, tutoring services are offered in math and reading only. Students must be testing below grade equivalency to qualify. If you are interested in tutoring services at the Fairhope Youth Rotary Club, your child must be a member of their program to receive services.
Available at: The South Baldwin Literacy Council and The Fairhope Rotary Youth Club.

In-School Tutoring
The South Baldwin Literacy Council supplies volunteer tutors to various schools in Baldwin County. Students will receive tutoring based on recommendations made by the individual school's reading specialist.
Service is Available at: Florence B. Mathis Elementary School, Foley Elementary School, Swift Consilidated Elementary School, and Orange Beach Elementary School.
