ADULT SERVICES

Adult Education Course

The South Baldwin Literacy Council proudly promotes and advances Adult Literacy in Baldwin County. Our Adult Services Program is by far our most unique and dynamic program. From Foundational Literacy Courses to Language Courses, the Adult Services Program is specifically designed to address the needs of our community. In addition to classes, students may also work one-on-one with a tutor to address specific needs. Whether you need help learning to read or just want to learn a new skill, we have you covered!

ESL PROGRAM

English Teacher

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers several options for learning English as a Second Language (ESL). The ESL Program accepts students of all ages, languages, and nationalities. We offer one-on-one tutoring for students who prefer individualized learning. We also offer a variety of classes designed for different levels of English reading, speaking, and comprehension. The ESL Program is a great way to learn English and be part of a community of students just like you!

GED PROGRAM

Studying in Garden

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers an in-person GED program and an online GED program for students of all ages and backgrounds. Unlike other GED programs, we offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring services that fit your schedule. Our tutors come from a variety of backgrounds and work with you to achieve your goals. If working with a tutor doesn't fit your needs, we also have weekly study groups that meet. Even after you earn your GED, we offer additional support whether your next step is college or advancing your career.

YOUTH SERVICES

Teacher and Young Student

The South Baldwin Literacy council is committed to improving the educational outcomes for children and youth students in a variety of ways. We offer an in-school tutoring program, an after-school tutoring program, an annual Summer Reading Camp, and year-round activities for children and their families to enjoy.
