Adult Basic Education Program

The Adult Basic Education Program is designed for students from a variety of educational backgrounds. Students receive individualized instruction in their subject area of need. Whether you have difficulty with reading, writing, listening, or math - our tutors can help you improve your skills.

Adult Excellence Academy

The South Baldwin Literacy Council's Adult Excellence Academy was created to serve the needs of all community members through a variety of educational presentations. Presentations are offered on a rotating, monthly basis in three locations across Baldwin County.

Career Advancement Program

The South Baldwin Literacy Council's Career Advancement Program is designed to assist community members achieve their next step in their career journey. Whether you are interested in pursuing further education, switching career paths, or need assistance crafting a resume... we can help!

English as a Second Language (ESL) Program

The South Baldwin Literacy Council's ESL Program is designed to teach English to students whose first language is not English. Students from all levels and backgrounds are welcome.

GED Program

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers an in-person GED program and an online GED program. Unlike other GED programs, we offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring services that fit your schedule. If working with a tutor doesn't fit your needs, we also have weekly study groups that meet.

United States Citizenship Test Preparation

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers individualized tutoring services and classes for students preparing for the U.S. Citizenship exam and interview. Students must be able to read, write, and speak at an ESL Level 3 or 4. Classes are taught in English.
