ADULT SERVICES

GED Program

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers an in-person GED program and an online GED program. Unlike other GED programs, we offer personalized, one-on-one tutoring services that fit your schedule. If working with a tutor doesn't fit your needs, we also have weekly study groups that meet.

Adult Basic Education Program

The Adult Basic Education Program is designed for students from a variety of educational backgrounds. Students receive individualized instruction in their subject area of need. Whether you have difficulty with reading, writing, listening, or math - our tutors can help you improve your skills.

Learn to Earn Program

The Learn to Earn Program is designed for students wanting to improve their employability. The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers a variety of services - resume writing, mock interviews, career assessments, and more! Our tutors will help you succeed in your job search.

Foundational Literacy Program

The Foundational Literacy Program is comprised of various 10-week courses designed to teach students core skills and knowledge needed in everyday life. Course topics are specifically chosen to help students further their education, support their families, make better decisions, and participate as good citizens in their communities. These courses are taught in a classroom format throughout Baldwin County.

Driver's License Preparation Program

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers individualized tutoring and preparation services for the written portion of the Alabama Driver's License Exam.

United States Citizenship Test Preparation

The South Baldwin Literacy Council offers individualized tutoring services and classes for students preparing for the U.S. Citizenship exam and interview. Students must be able to read, write, and speak at an ESL Level 3 or 4. Classes are taught in English.
