Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions

South Baldwin Literacy Council (“SBLC,” “we,” “our,” or “us”) operates a mobile messaging program subject to these Mobile Messaging Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). Your participation in our mobile messaging program (the “Program”) is also subject to our Privacy Policy.
By enrolling in or otherwise agreeing to receive text messages from SBLC, you agree to these Terms and our Privacy Policy.
1. Program Description
SBLC uses mobile messaging to communicate with volunteers, students, donors, and community participants for both informational and transactional purposes. Communications may include:

Scheduling and appointment reminders

Class, volunteer, or event updates

General check-ins and community notices

Emergency notifications or closures

Occasional promotional announcements for nonprofit-related activities
Messages may be sent through RingCentral and Constant Contact, including by automated systems. Message frequency may vary depending on your relationship with SBLC but will not exceed 5 messages per month for promotional purposes.
SBLC does not charge for text messages, but message and data rates may apply based on your mobile carrier plan.
2. User Opt-In
By voluntarily providing your mobile number to SBLC — via web form, sign-up sheet, registration, donation, or in-person communication —you agree to receive recurring text messages from SBLC at the number provided.
You confirm that you are the owner or authorized user of the mobile number and agree to notify us promptly if your number changes by emailing us at: info@southbaldwinliteracycouncil.com
You can text South Baldwin Literacy Council for information regarding our services. By texting South Baldwin Literacy Council, you agree to receive Conversations (external) messages from South Baldwin Literacy Council. Reply STOP to opt-out; Reply HELP for support; Message & data rates may apply; Messaging frequency may vary.
Participation in this Program is not required to access our services and is completely voluntary.
3. Opt-Out and Support
You may opt out of our mobile messaging program at any time by replying with any of the following commands to any text message from us:
STOP. After you send this keywords, you may receive a final confirmation message, and you will no longer receive further text messages unless you re-enroll.

Please note: Messages using modified commands (e.g., “please stop texting me”) may not be recognized by our system. SBLC and its service providers are not responsible for honoring opt-out requests that don’t use the accepted keywords.
4. Service Providers
SBLC partners with RingCentral for one-on-one conversational and scheduling-based texts and Constant Contact for mass informational and promotional messages.
Your data will only be used for communication directly related to SBLC programs and services and will not be sold or shared for commercial purposes.

5. Availability, Warranty, and Liability
The Program is provided “as is” and may not be available on all carriers or in all areas. Message delivery may be delayed or fail due to various factors. SBLC and its service providers are not liable for any failed, delayed, or misdirected delivery of any mobile message.
6. Modifications
We may update or discontinue the Program, or change these Terms, at any time. Updates will be posted on our website and will be effective upon posting. Continued participation after such changes constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
