Swift Library Night

The South Baldwin Literacy Council served as the "Special Guest" for Swift Elementary School's Library Night. We read “Epossumondas Saves the Day” by Coleen Sally and were able to give away thirty brand new, hardback, highly-illustrated books to the students in attendance.

Nacho Average Tutor Training

The South Baldwin Literacy Council hosted a "Nacho Average" Tutor Training luncheon to kick off the Spring Semester of Tutoring. Now they're ready to tackle our students' needs!

South Baldwin Pediatrics Book Giveaway

The South Baldwin Literacy Council kicked off the new year by donating one hundred and sixty brand-new, hardback books in both English and Spanish to South Baldwin Pediatrics LLC. Children and their families will have an opportunity to read while awaiting check ups and sick visits.

Christmas Tree Competition

The South Baldwin Literacy Council won 2nd Place in The City of Foley's Annual Christmas Tree competition. This year's theme was "The Story of the SBLC". Students, tutors, and staff members decorated ornaments with their stories to share with the community. We are so proud to have an impact on our community!
