The South Baldwin Literacy Council is excited to share that our Executive Director, Taylor Johns, has officially completed the Nonprofit Leadership Academy - a ten-month program led by nonprofit consultant Shannon Preston. The academy covered essential topics including Board Governance, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, and Marketing.

The South Baldwin Literacy Council honored 82 incredible graduates and honorees across our youth and adult programs— our largest group yet! The Civic Center was packed with over 300 guests, and the energy in the room was incredible.
Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival 2025

The South Baldwin Literacy Council volunteered with the Gulf Coast Hot Air Balloon Festival! We had an incredible time at this year’s festival! On Friday, we were out at the interactive balloon, sharing books, handing out prizes, and spreading the love of literacy—even with some wild wind in the mix! We can't wait for next year!
