SOUTH BALDWIN LITERACY COUNCIL

The South Baldwin Literacy Council hosted a special evening celebrating the incredible accomplishments of our students. We honored our GED graduates, Youth graduates, ESL honorees, and ABE honorees.

Each student’s journey is unique, but every story is filled with dedication, perseverance, and determination. Some students worked toward their goals for years, while others accomplished them in just a few months. No matter the timeline, they kept going and reached the finish line.

We are incredibly proud of every student we celebrated and grateful to our volunteers and staff who supported them along the way. Congratulations to all of our students on these incredible accomplishments!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council was honored to attend an incredible evening hosted by Lee Charities at Coastal Restaurant, celebrating and supporting local nonprofit organizations.

We were incredibly grateful to receive a $50,000 donation from Lee Charities. Mitchell Lee and his father, David Lee, have long believed in the mission of SBLC and continue to support our students, staff, and community in meaningful ways. We are deeply grateful for their generosity and for everyone who believes in the work of the South Baldwin Literacy Council. Support from community partners like Lee Charities allows us to continue providing opportunities and empowering students across Baldwin County. Thank you, Lee Charities, for your continued support and investment in our community!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council partnered with the Orange Beach Library for our annual Winter Trivia Night, and it was a fantastic evening of fun, friendly competition, and community support. All proceeds from the event directly benefit both the South Baldwin Literacy Council and the Orange Beach Library, helping us continue our missions of education and enrichment in Baldwin County. A special thank you to the local businesses who contributed to our Pick-a-Pot prizes—we couldn’t do it without your generosity!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council celebrated all of our volunteers at our End-of-the-Year Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon. We are incredibly grateful for their dedication and support—our work would not be possible without them.
