SOUTH BALDWIN LITERACY COUNCIL

The South Baldwin Literacy Council partnered with the Orange Beach Library for our annual Snowbird Trivia Night, and it was a fantastic evening of fun, friendly competition, and community support! All proceeds from the event go directly to benefit the South Baldwin Literacy Council and the Orange Beach Library, helping us continue our missions of education and enrichment in Baldwin County. A special thank you to the local businesses who contributed to our Pick-a-Pot prizes – we couldn’t do it without your generosity! Thank you to all of our incredible players for coming to our Annual Snowbird Trivia Night on Saturday, February 22, at the Orange Beach Event Center. Together, we raised $6,320 for literacy in Baldwin County! Trivia Winners: 1st Place: Doin' Our Best, 2nd Place: Double Dribble Krewe and 3rd Place: Women Who Wine!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council is excited to share that our entire team has completed the Alabama DHR's Adult Abuse Mandated Reporter and Child Abuse Mandated Reporter training!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council proudly celebrated our incredible 123 volunteers at a special Volunteer Appreciation Luncheon hosted at Wolfe Bay Restaurant.
Thanks to their unwavering dedication, we were able to make a lasting impact in our community: 351 students served ion average per month, 103 active volunteers engaged monthly and 978 total students served in 2024, 17,026 hours logged in tutoring, 11,274 books distributed and $461,223 raised for literacy in Baldwin County!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council participated in Foley's Hometown Halloween! Our staff gave away over 1500 books, candy and information about our free programs!
