SOUTH BALDWIN LITERACY COUNCIL

The South Baldwin Literacy Council has launched its Coaching a Better Reader program at Florence B. Mathis Elementary School through the Alabama Reading Initiative. We are excited to partner with Mathis Elementary to support student literacy and help young readers succeed.

Tidal Wave Auto Spa in Foley selected the South Baldwin Literacy Council as a partner for their Annual Charity Day. Thanks to this generous initiative, half of the proceeds supported the South Baldwin Literacy Council, while the other half benefited a charity in Atlanta. We are incredibly grateful for their support and commitment to giving back to the community.

The South Baldwin Literacy Council is always honored to go hand out bilingual books to East Coast Migrant HeadStart! Our staff and volunteers enjoy reading to their students!

The South Baldwin Literacy Council is excited to share that our Executive Director, Taylor Johns, has officially completed the Nonprofit Leadership Academy - a ten-month program led by nonprofit consultant Shannon Preston. The academy covered essential topics including Board Governance, Strategic Planning, Fundraising, and Marketing.
