Nicole completed three GED subjects on her own—a true testament to her self-motivation and determination. For math, she teamed up with her tutor, Charlie, working hard to master each lesson. Now, Nicole is exploring a career as a veterinary technician, combining her love for animals with her bright future.

CeCe joined SBLC in August 2023, and we’re thrilled to celebrate her GED success! With her bright spirit and determination, she worked closely with tutor Makaya McKnight—even transitioning to virtual sessions when Makaya moved out of state. CeCe’s perseverance and commitment never wavered, and her journey is truly inspiring. Congratulations, CeCe!

Edwin worked closely with his tutor, Juan, meeting both in person and online to sharpen the skills needed for his GED. In just over 5 months, he passed all four subjects! Focused, respectful, and driven, Edwin is now exploring college options—or even a pilot program.

Rosa came to South Baldwin Literacy Council with a clear goal—to earn her GED and pursue a career in real estate. With the support of her tutor, Melissa Gonzalez, she achieved that goal in just 4 months! We’re so proud of Rosa’s hard work and can’t wait to see her thrive as a future realtor.
