Ali came to South Baldwin Literacy Council with a big goal—to earn her GED in under a month—and she did it! Balancing studies with raising four children, her determination and positivity inspired everyone around her. Now, Ali is setting her sights on nursing school, with plans to become a Nurse Practitioner in Aesthetics.

Braden came to South Baldwin Literacy Council with one GED subject completed and tackled the remaining three in just three months! Through hard work, collaboration with tutors, and self-study, Braden stayed focused and determined. Braden recently moved to Birmingham to be closer to family and is now pursuing a career in equipment operations.

Ryan showed true dedication on his GED journey, working closely with his tutor through each subject—and saving the toughest for last: math! It was a special moment when he called his mom from our office to share the news that he’d officially earned his GED. Her pride said it all. Now, Ryan is focused on getting his driver’s license, and we couldn’t be prouder of the example he’s set for others.
