SOUTH BALDWIN LITERACY COUNCIL

Volunteers are vital to the success of the South Baldwin Literacy Council. Without our volunteers, our community's literacy needs would not be met. In 2022 alone, we provided services to over 1,200 students. Our volunteers make an invaluable and intangible difference in our community. Volunteer opportunities are always available. From tutoring students to delivering books, we always have a place for you.

New-Found Appreciation
I knew I could help others, but what has surprised me is how much joy teaching others has been! My students have been so kind, eager to learn and appreciative. This program has helped ME so much more than it's helping them! Plus, I've gotten a new appreciation for the challenge of the English language and have come to see it from a newcomer's perspective. It's been an amazing experience.
