Without our volunteers, our community's literacy needs would not be met. In 2022 alone, we provided services to over 1,200 students. Our volunteers make an invaluable and intangible difference in our community. Volunteer opportunities are always available. From tutoring students to delivering books, we always have a place for you.

Just Our Time
After a tough year of caregiving, I was looking for a way to volunteer and give back to our community. I have no teaching experience but I do love little children. As a grandma, I miss my grandsons being little! God used a happenstance occasion to point me towards SBLC. I’m so fortunate to now have almost one season of K-3 tutoring under my “belt”. I’ve fallen in love with these kiddos and their progress is thrilling to see, however small a part we play! Don’t wait if you’re even beginning to think about this opportunity! They just need our time!
