Volunteers are vital to the success of the South Baldwin Literacy Council. Without our volunteers, our community's literacy needs would not be met. In 2022 alone, we provided services to over 1,200 students. Our volunteers make an invaluable and intangible difference in our community. Volunteer opportunities are always available. From tutoring students to delivering books, we always have a place for you.

Influencing Young Minds
I have worked with SBLC for less than 1 school year, but I already know that I will want to continue helping students learn for many years to come. I teach elementary school students about mathematics Tuesday and Thursday from 3:30 - 5:30, and I have found that this is a great way to not only make a massive difference in the lives and education of so many children, but also relax my mind and take my thoughts away from daily stress and problems. The tutors at SBLC are all incredibly kind and helpful, as well. I am proud to be a part of such an influential group of people.
